I smoked cigarettes for MORE than 15 years.  On April 11th 2012, I quit smoking with the help of London Hypnotherapy Centre.

Today, I'd like to introduce you to the man behind the Centre, who also happens to be the person I credit for helping me reach my goal.  Gilles Bernard, owner/operator of London Hypnotherapy Centre, joined me in studio.

Since I've moved back to Southwestern Ontario, I've really taken a shine to TV's "How I Met Your Mother".  While the show is on all evening in syndication here, in Eastern Ontario no network was showing it as often on basic cable.

Last night, the final episode of Season 7 aired, and finally, we got some answers!

SPOILER ALERT:

First, Marshall and Lily had their baby, and named him Marvin Eriksen. 

Second, Barney proposes to his girlfriend Quinn and she accepts.

Third, Barney's wedding is shown, and his bride is ROBIN!!!!!!!    OH SNAP!

All I can say is wow.  I can't wait for Season 8.

Since Round 3 of the NHL Playoffs is upon us, it's time to make some predictions.  First, we'll look at how many guesses I got right last round.

ROUND TWO RECAP:

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

PREDICTION:  New York Rangers over Washington Capitals in 6 games.  ACTUAL:  Rangers in 7 games.

PREDICTION:  Philadelphia Flyers over New Jersey Devils in 6 games.  ACTUAL:  Devils in 5 games.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

PREDICTION:  L.A. Kings in 7 games.  ACTUAL:  L.A. Kings in 4 games.

PREDICTION:  Nashville Predators in 6 games.  ACTUAL:  Phoenix Coyotes in 5 games.

I only scored 2 points out of a possible 8 last round.  Not a good showing.  I'll have to step it up a notch this round.

Today marks the beginning of Day 28 in my Quit Smoking campaign.

If you're just joining the discussion, I quit smoking April 11th with the help of London Hypnotherapy Centre.  After smoking for MORE than 15 years, it was time to get the monkey off my back and quit for good.

Things are going very well!  28 days with no cigarettes, and no puffs.  No cheating either, I promise.

By my calculations, at approx. 20 cigarettes a day, I have avoided 560 cigarettes since butting out.

560 CIGARETTES!  Wow.  Sometimes people say that smoking a cigarette takes 7 minutes off your life.  If that's true, then I've bought myself an extra 3920 minutes in life, which is 65+ hours, or just under 3 days of living, just for quitting.  Wow indeed.

Comedian Russell Brand recently fought back against a heckler during his comedy routine. 

A man in the audience continued yelling "Katy Perry" during Brand's set, and finally, the comedian had had enough.

Note:  I referred to Russell as "Elton" on today's show.  Elton Brand is a basketball player, and while known for a lark or two, is nowhere near as funny as Russell Brand.
