What do you want for Mother's Day?

Last night my husband asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day... since he's not my kid, I told him to let our girls worry about it! They are both young women now, and if they want to get me something special, that's up to them. I don't expect anything fancy, nor do I want that. To me, Mother's Day is about spending time with the other mom's in my life that are important to me. My mom, my sister-in-law, my daughter... and all of the kids we've given birth to and parented over the years. Family is the greatest gift of all, and I am blessed.
Why I LOVE live theatre!

At several points during the performance, the cast was in the aisles, dancing, singing and handing out flowers. At the very end, during the singing of 'Let The Sun Shine In', we were invited to join the cast on stage, dancing and singing to close out the show... and I took ...

Look at this little guy... when this picture was taken, Hogan was a very sick four week old Himalayan kitten. He was rescued from a neglectful home, undernourished and suffering from several illnesses, one of which may cost him his eyes. I met him earlier this week at five weeks of age... he's gained some weight, is recovering from his respiratory illness, but is very small for his age and may be blind. Kittens like this grab our hearts, but are very expensive to nurture back to health. But that's where you come in. By making a donation to an animal rescue, you are helping to pay for vet services which will help him grow and become a faithful friend. Would you be willing to help Hogan and other kittens like him which continually find their way into foster homes? If you're thinking of getting a pet, please adopt from a ...
